More Nails In The Coffin

The only grace at the moment for us is that we have three games in hand over the Robins from up the M4 but even wins in those 3 still show us needing to win 2 more games than them.
Bournemouth, Colchester and Bristol Rovers are our next three opponents and nothing short of 9 points from those games is acceptable.
When we have managed to win just 6 of the first 35 league games, 8 wins from the last 11 seems an almost impossible dream.
On the bright side, it is feasible that Oxford could be relegated this Saturday, whilst our fate could be decided over the Easter weekend unless the manager manages to get the best out of the players he has available.
We still have no buyers coming forward to buy the club and 9th floor shares are falling faster than a bungee jumper off Mount Everest. And they wonder why people are pessimistic.
Stuart Roberts is being told by his international manager that he needs to leave to progress his career and Martin Thomas is allowed to leave and as soon as he does Hollins says we need ‘a battling midfielder’ Confused? I was.
Anyhow, Saturday is massive and it is the time for us to get behind the team again. We know we always do, maybe this time we can get the team performing – something the manager hasn’t done for a while.
It’s a near impossible dream, it can be done but it won’t be easy. All I ask is that if we are going down – please can we go down fighting?
