Profile

Coates is a player that many believe could well play at a higher level. He has played for the Wales B side and made the subs bench for a ful international

Personally though he is the type of player that only turns it on 1 game in 4 and daren’t count how many times I’ve seen him at my local in Morriston.

  • 1999/2000 As consistant in his inconsitancy as always. He had some inspiring MoTM awards and some stunning goals but again these were way outnumbered by the dismal performances. However when the Swans played Northampton at home live on Sky although the Swans should have lost the game, Coates scored one and set up 2 others to take the points in a 4-2 victory.
  • 2000/2001 A poor start to the season was compounded with an injury to his knee that kept him out from October to March, then really struggled to show match fitness until the last few games.
