Get Them All Out

First off, why 1st July? Simple, it’s the day after most people who are stupid enough to renew their season tickets will have done so. On the pretention that we will have new players seeing as we are being fed the usual pre-season rubbish.

Stuart has been offered a huge pay cut to stay at Swansea. If your boss offered you a pay cut when a few other companies wanted you to work for them would you take it. Strange, how when my colleague said he wanted to leave my company, he was offered a pay rise. And he’s crap at his job!

And it amazes me that some people out there reading this still believe that we have decent people in charge of the club and that we will sign players. It’s three years since John Hollins came here and still no-one with league experience has joined.

At the end of last season he was interviewd on Soccer Scumday. “I have a plan of what I want, I just need the budget” he said. And the sheep that believe him said “I told you Hollins wouldn’t let us down”

Last week, the official site declared “John Hollins has been given a budget, he now has to decide what he wants to do” Hang on a minute – he had a plan but needed a budget, then he had a budget but needed a plan. Ever get the feeling you’re being taken for a ride.

My season ticket renewal form turned up this week. Big picture of Roger Freestone on the front. The club using Roger and his testimonial year as a reason for buying a ticket? Funny that, when I rung the club to ask about his testimonial I was told they had no idea. And of course, Roger who I am told is on a family holiday has a quote on the front “It’s the same team that went up as champions two years back”

I don’t believe he said that and anyone that thinks it is the same team is very much mistaken. Same team bar Steve Jones, Martin Thomas, Julian Alsop and Walter Boyd of course.

And then there is Giovanni Savarese. Lewis has finally admitted that he probably won’t be back next season. Well done Mike, no wonder you get paid so much money with a brain like that. Only took you three months to realise what most of us knew back in March.

Never has a close season come where I really didn’t give two hoots about football. This is what 9th floor and their idiotic business practices have reduced us to.

The supporters trust seems like it is going to be a goer and I urge EVERYONE to sign up and help it. Without it, 9th Floor may just kill this club off completely.

And as for August 11th? If this lot are still in charge then I will be shopping with the missus. And I hate shopping!
