Addison And Nicholas In

Following on from John Hollins and Alan Curtis departure’s yesterday, the club called the press conference for 9.30 am this morning to announce the details of the new management team.
Addison who has previously had spells with Newport County, Merthyr, Hereford United, Derby County, Yeovil, Athletico Madrid and Scarborough joins on a year contract. Nicholas, who resigned from his position as Barry Town manager on Tuesday previously played for Arsenal, Chelsea, Crystal Palace and Aberdeen.

These are naturally not the names that people would have necessarily linked with the Vetch job given the choice but in the situation that the football club finds itself in, they are one of the few options that Mike Lewis would have had available based on the budget that the football club needs to run with.

What we must remember here is that many many people wanted John Hollins to leave and that has now happened. It is too early to judge Addison and Nicholas and they must receive the full support of the fans as they start their spell in charge.
It will take them time to get the team and the style of play where they want it to be but both Addison and Nicholas have reasonable records behind them without being overly spectacular. They are now the men in charge, John Hollins had a chance and in reality, despite a couple of highs, got us nowhere it is now time to back the new guys in charge.
Whichever way these two people will perform in the management seat remains to be seen but for now that have to have the full support from the fans of Swansea City and again, the time now is to get behind the team and show that we are all “Swansea Till We Die”
