New Faces At The Vetch

Jamie Moralee, the Barry striker is the first of these two players. Moralee has scored 26 goals in 58 appearances for the South Glamorgan side and would be a welcome addition to the squad in my opinion. Although he is approaching the twilight years of his career (30 in December) he has played in the football league for Crystal Palace, Millwall, Watford, Crewe, Brighton and Colchester. So far this season he has made 6 starts and scored once.
With the recent injuries to our strikeforce any addition is a welcome one and Nicholas may well be able to prise him away from Barry.
The other target we are told is 25 year old Jonathan French. French is an attacking midfielder but has so far this season found himself playing up front for Barry. His record this season is good, having scored 5 goals in 7 games and in total he has notched 22 in 62 games for Barry. He has previously played in the league at Bristol Rovers and Hull.

The one thing that was missing with John Hollins was the ability to look for new additions to the squad with most of his signings coming as a result of Mr McIntosh. If Colin Addison and Peter Nicholas can change that then all the better for Swansea City.

Jonathan French

Of course, these are LoW players and we have had our share of duff ones from there in the past but Nicholas will know both these players well from his previous employment and if he feels he can do a job, we have to give him the benefit of the doubt until it is proved one way or the other.
On the exit side today, the Swans have allowed Ryan Casey to joint Merthyr on a month’s loan. Again, I see this as a necessity of Swansea’s plight with no reserve team action it makes sense to get some players out and playing who are not making an impression on the matchday squad at the moment. Casey is someone, in my opinion who will one day do a job for us and the more matches we can get him to play the better.
It looks like we could be having some changes in personnel soon at the Vetch – the more the merrier?

Southampton 3-0 Swansea City – Your player ratings

The Swans exited the FA Cup with not so much as a whimper this afternoon at St Mary’s as they were beaten by their Premier League opposition. It was nowhere near a good performance for the Swans who were second best for most of the afternoon.ย  Why not take a…
