Curtis, who departed Swansea last week with John Hollins is now top of the League of Wales side’s shopping list although the vacant position will also be advertised in the Welsh press this weekend.
James was approached for the position but we can exclusively reveal that he turned the job down for ‘domestic reasons’ and this has promoted Curtis up the pecking order of their requirements.
Swansea fans seem to have a split opinion of whether we should have kept Curtis on at the club after last week’s sackings. Some feel that his share of the blame was equal to that of Hollins whilst others opinion is that Hollins was too stubborn to let Curtis have much input. Whichever camp you fall into, a return to management for Curtis will give him the opportunity to prove his abilities one way or the other.
