Thommo To Return?

Let’s have a think a minute. Martin Thomas bled for the shirt at times when he was here. Let’s never forget the performance (and the goal) that knocked West Ham out of the cup nor his assistance to the championship winning team of 2000 but since then he has hardly set the world alight.
Martin Thomas off the pitch is a nice bloke and I liked him but this is a team that is heading into oblivion and many fans are looking to Cusack to get new blood in and not necessarily bring former players back to the club. John Hollins tried that with John Williams and that was hardly a roaring success was it?
Robert Folland is another name and he played a part in last night’s 2-1 defeat at Hereford and sounds a possibility as a better signing if Nick wants to make early inroads into the transfer market. In fairness, nothing has been mentioned from within about Thomas but the rumblings from the media are there. Mind you, they were there with Stuart Roberts and can anyone really see that happening?
Martin Thomas played his part in some great Swansea performances and he will go down in the history book as winning a championship medal with the club but my opinion is that he should stay there – in the history books.
Come on guys – there are supposed to be hundreds of players available this summer – let’s have a good look round before we jump into hasty decisions.
