Home >Story Index>What a load of Tosh!!! |
The usual media rumours started this morning with Ken Gorman of the News of the World stating “I understand Swans power-brokers are determined to get their man and speculation increased when Tosh jetted in for the game”. I’m sorry Ken, but the only speculation is coming from you mate. As for Tosh jetting in for the game, the former Swansea City manager had flown home for the weekend to spend time with his wife and children as he still owns a family home in the city. Tosh was invited to the game by close family friend Nigel Hamer and was happy to take up the invitation and to get the chance to see Nick Cusack’s new look Swans in action. After being asked by Swans director David Morgan, Tosh was also delighted to present the victorious jackarmy.net football team with their trophies during a pre-match presentation in front of a packed Vetch field crowd. Wales on Sunday reporter Joshua Jones added fuel to the fire by stating “It was claimed that the Swans board, powered by the cash of America-based South African millionaire Brian Katzen and successful Scandinavian businessman John van Zweden, had secretly made contact with Toshack, 53, with a view to him examining their blueprint to rebuild the club”. This news came as a complete surprise to van Zweden when I spoke to him earlier today. He said he had been honoured to get the chance to speak to Toshack and they had chatted at length about the Swans glory days of the 80’s. Zweden was also surprised to find out that he was a “Scandinavianbusinessman” as he had always been under the impression, due to his birthplace, that he was Dutch!!! Not to be left out, Radio Wales contacted Swans director David Morgan yesterday afternoon to ask about the presence of Bo Ekland in the Vetch field VIP room. After an extensive search of the room by the guests present, including Evening Post sports editor David Evans, Ekland couldn’t be found. “I even checked under the tables, but he was nowhere to be seen” joked Swans director David Morgan during an exclusive chat with jackarmy.net. So there we have it, another load of rubbish from our tabloid friends. Don’t be disheartened guys and don’t let the facts get in the way of your stories, not that you ever do anyway!!! Right then, I’ve got to go. I’ve just heard a rumour that David Morgan and Pope John Paul II have been spotted having a pint in Wind St!!! |
