Lewis Out At Last

Home >Story Index> Lewis Can Shut Door On Way Out

These two men defy belief. They have dragged Exeter City to the brink of disaster and have also helped ensure that they will spend their centenary year as a non-league football side. They have bought disgrace onto the football club with the investigation last week and now they believe that they have the right to get their money back before they leave the club. Words fail me.
Lewis and Russell are both owed something by Exeter and that is a short swift kick up the backside as they are booted out of the door by the new board which include two representatives from their supporter’s trust. Of course the problem is with someone with an arse the size of Lewis you are more likely to lose your foot than to hurt him
It is ironic when you look at the Exeter site, Exeweb, today that they have this statement made by Lewis on the front of it “If we fail and this club goes into the Conference then the first people who step out of the door will be myself and John Russell” – strange how it took an investigation to actually force them out.
Lewis’ investment in the club is said to be ร‚ยฃ1,000 although he also claims to have secured ‘guarantees’ of ร‚ยฃ30,000. Written documentation please Mike to the club’s accountants – all it does is increase the size of the V sign that you are owed. Russell claims to be owed so much more so he can have the middle finger as well. Surely, these two ‘business people’ (and I use that term very very loosely) realise that with any investment the value of your investment can go down as well as up. Especially when that investment is now in a non-league football club. I brought some BA shares at around four quid a few years back, they are now worth about ร‚ยฃ1.20 but I want my money back. Damn, it didn’t work for me either.
The claim is that neither Lewis or Russell will work in football again. That is their statement. Chiefs at Lancaster Gate should start the blacklist with the name of these two at the top. They should then ensure from their end that these two are not allowed within spitting distance of a football club. And certainly never let Lewis take on his dream when he left Swansea of ‘crisis football club management’ – clubs are only in crisis when he walks through the door.
Forgive me for getting personal but football does not need leeches like you Lewis. I never had any time for you and you spouted some stuff that made me cringe but you believed it all. You just about killed my football club off and I can never forgive you for that. You have done the same to Exeter, somewhere I lived for 5 years and I have friends there, they will doubtless never forgive you either.
Im my opinion, you should never be allowed to work in football again and I hope that you leave Exeter with everything you deserve – nothing. You deserved that from us yet you wanted ร‚ยฃ80,000 and your poor shows had holes in them. Leave football Mike and take up somethng more suited to your skills – how about a paperboy. Businessman? Don’t make me laugh. I’d like to say it has been fun to have you in football Mike but it’s been a nightmare. Please never surface near a club again.
And finally to ALL the Welsh Press, don’t get quotes from him it makes him feel important. The man is nothing and never will be and doesn’t deserve the column inches his speech takes up. Sure this is kicking a man when he is down but he did it first to us as a club and never have I enjoyed someone’s misfortune so much.
See you Mike, shut the door on your way out – or is that in???
