Home > Story Index >Bath’s Gosling Is Flynn Target |
Gosling spent a week at Cheltenham Town back in April but to yet they have not made a move for him. Bath manager, Alan Pridham, said "Jamie’s name cropped up while I was talking to Yeovil manager Gary Johnson recently and Swansea have spoken to Tim Harris about taking a look at him. Nothing is cast in stone but it looks like Jamie will be going on Yeovil’s tour to Belgium. They definitely want him to go along but something could happen with another club in the meantime. "Cheltenham is on the backburner at the moment because they are sorting a few things out internally and are keeping their options open." |
Pridham believes that Gosling has what it takes to make it in the professional game despite the fact that there are over 500 professionals out of contract this summer. |
"We aren’t like other clubs and if Jamie has the chance to move to a pro club then I won’t stand in his way, " he added. "I’m sure the club would consider giving him a free transfer, subject to a payment after so many appearances and a sell-on clause. "As long as the club is ultimately rewarded for the time and money put in then he could go. "To stifle someone’s chances, by placing an idiotic amount of money on their head, would be amateurish. "There’s no doubt in my mind that Jamie can play pro football and I also believe that whenever he moves from Bath he will also have another move in him as well. "With the right type of professional training he can go far." |
Jamie Gosling is just another name that has been linked with the Swans this season with Chris Llewellyn, Lee Trundle and Dirk Lehmann already being linked to boost Flynn’s forward line ahead of next season. |
