Legends Return To Vetch |
Curtis will lead a side that includes, amongst others, Nigel Stephenson, Chris Marustik, Dudley Lewis and Wyndham Evans – all members of the squad that took the First Division by storm during the memorable 1981-82 season. Sunday’s game has been arranged by Remploy in support of the 2003 European Year of Disabled People and the ex-Swans will face a team from the company’s Swansea office. All proceeds from the match will be donated to Morriston Hospital’s Renal Unit to help meet the enormous running costs of a facility that serves 750,000 people in the Southwest Wales area. The Unit caters for adults with chronic and acute renal failure and it has an established dialysis population of approximately 200 patients. Only the Centre Stand will be open on the day and the admission price is รยฃ2.00 – payable by purchasing a specially produced programme from volunteers outside the ground. Kick-off is at 12.00pm and it promises to be an entertaining afternoon, as well as a fascinating trip down Memory Lane for fans and players alike. See you all there!!
