Flynn Takes Manager Of The Month |
With four league wins from five during the month, and fifteen league goals in that period, Flynn takes the award ahead of Ian Atkins at Oxford and Chris Brass at York both of whom had good starts to the season. A nationwide spokesman described the Swans as ‘the countries entertainers’ when announcing the awards. The award caps a remarkable turn around for Flynn who steered Swansea from relegation on the last day of last season to being top of the pile after the first five games of this season. The football that is being played at the Vetch also makes him a worthy recipient of this award one that we hope does not come with the curse that is usually associated with it. I have a feeling at this moment in time that this will not be the only award bestowed on Brian Flynn this season as he looks to take Swansea back into the second division at the end of the season. Well done on the award Brian – cannot argue with the decision makers on this one. Other divisional awards went to Gary Megson (WBA) in the first, Brian Horton (Port Vale) in the second and Graham Turner (Hereford) in the Conference. |
