The Supporters Trust has organised its first ever social event where Swans fans will have the opportunity to meet and mix with the club’s players in a relaxed and informal setting. The ten pin bowling event is open to everyone: i.e. non-Trust members, individuals, families, businesses, clubs, etc. either as to participants or merely as spectators. Children are most welcome as both players and spectators but must be accompanied by an adult.
All 26 lanes of the Megabowl complex at Parc Tawe have been booked for this fun event which is taking place on Wednesday evening the 8th October 2003, thus enabling a maximum of 208 people to actively participate. This, along with possibly several hundred spectators should make for an action packed fun night. Food will be available on the night at extra cost and bar facilities will be available throughout the evening for both contestants and spectators. The event may also be filmed as part of an upcoming S4C programme about the Supporters Trust/Swans fans.
The programme / format of the evening is as follows:
7pm – 7.20pm: Arrive. Book-in, bowling lane allocated, collect shoes
7.20pm – 7.30pm: Welcome address. Player / Club Rep. Draw
7.30pm – 9.45pm:Bowling begins / finishes
9.45pm – 10pm: Prizes Awarded. Raffle Drawn
10pm – 11pm: Meet the Players. Finish.
Times are approximate
1. Each team /bowling lane will comprise of a maximum of 8 persons, with one place allocated to a club player / club representative.
2. Players names drawn out of a hat prior to the start of bowling and the player will then become the ‘team captain’.
3. Each team will be play 2 games with the aggregate scores from both games counting towards the race for the team prize
4. The cost per bowler will be รยฃ10. There will be no discounts for children and no entry charge will be made for spectators.
Prizes will be awarded as follows:
Highest Team Score – aggregate of both games
Highest Individual Score – in either game
Special ‘Performance’ Prizes
Every individual to receive a certificate from Megabowl
There will be a raffle on the night with all proceeds going directly towards the Trust Community Youth Fund. It is hoped that a specific organisation to receive this money can be chosen before the event takes place.
Initial indications are that the event may well be oversubscribed and we would urge anyone interested in reserving a team lane to contact the Trust’s Admin Officer Debbie Rees as soon as possible to indicate an interest. Similarly individual entrants should contact us too as soon as possible.

To reserve a lane please provide:
- Team Name
- Contact name and phone number
- A cheque for รยฃ70 made payable to Swansea City Supporters Trust.
Individuals must provide name and contact number details.
All payments must be received by Saturday 4th October either via the Trust office at 57, St Helens Road Swansea or at the Trust’s North Bank office on the day in question (Lincoln game). Reservations will ONLY be confirmed upon receipt of payment
This is an ideal opportunity to “Get Involved” whilst socialising with the club players AND competing for prizes against other fans. The Trust hopes you will join usรขโฌยฆรขโฌยฆรขโฌยฆit’s likely to be a good ‘un!!
