Swans Start At Home To Northampton |
The long awaited list of fixtures was released by the football league this morning and will be formally unveiled at 10am by the official sites and the press. However, we have seen a copy of these fixtures and can advise that the Swans start at home to Northampton. The match will be played on August 7 at the Vetch, with the first away trip of the season coming the following Tuesday when the Swans visit Rochdale. Christmas sees the Swans take on Kidderminster (Away) on Boxing Day with Boston visiting the Vetch on 28th December, Yeovil are our visitors on New Years Day 2005 and it’s a trip to Rushden on January 3rd, Bank Holiday Monday. The final three games at the Vetch, all expected to be a sell out are Cambridge (April 2), Oxford (April 16) and Shrewsbury (April 30) – most Swans fans had wanted to play the last match of the season at the Vetch but unlike the last couple of years the football league computer has not been as kind to us. Easter sees Macclesfield visit the Vetch on 26 March and us visit Cheltenham on Easter Monday (March 28) Other fixtures that Swans fans may like to note are: The visit of Mansfield (October 9), Bristol Rovers (Home – November 6, Away April 23), Shrewsbury Away (November 20). newly promoted Chester (Away October 2, Home January 29) and away in Oxford’s three side ground on December 8 (Wednesday) Football league licensing laws prevents us providing a full list of next season’s fixtures on the site – to see the full list you will have to visit the official site later in the day – sorry. |
