Carling Cup Opponents Decided

The draw for the first round of next season’s Carling Cup will take place on Thursday with Swansea one of 32 teams in the southern half of the draw.

The draw has been split into two sections as normal – North and South – with the sides in each section split into a seeded and unseeded section of the draw. The unseeded sides will meet a seeded side in the first round.

UEFA Cup entrants Millwall are handed a bye into the 3rd round along with all other European representatives whilst all Premiership clubs plus Leicester City are handed a bye into the second round.

The details of the teams in the Southern half of the draw are as follows (seedings are worked out on league placings last season)
