James Thomas opened his pre-season account with the second goal after the first (from confusing reports) from either Matthew Roberts or Antonio Corbisiero – both goals came in the first half. From The Fans That Were There Just come back. Completely dominated and 2-0 didn’t really do us justice. The most worrying thing for me was that our strongest side (2nd half) failed to score again. Paul Connor was particularly guilty of not capitalising on chances that came his way. Of the newcomers, Forbes and Ricketts stood out again. Monk and Gueret didn’t play and Oli was fairly quiet compared to the game against Worcester. Most of the first half was spent trying to work out who was who (a good smattering of the youth team!). Andy Robinson also didn’t feature – anyone know why? |
