Swansea City have confirmed that there will be areas of unreserved seating at White Rock next season although, as expected, supporters will have to bear a price increase to watch the Swans in their new home.
In a statement released via the club’s official web site this morning the club stated that part of the East Stand will contain unreserved seating to ensure that people can sit by who they want to sit by and season ticket holders may sit by their non season ticket holding friends.
Ticket prices will be set at between รยฃ13 and รยฃ18 for matchday admission although no indication has been given yet on the cost of season tickets.
The statement reads ”
The club has received numerous calls over the past few weeks with regard to season tickets for the new stadium and the Board would like to clarify the position and reassure the Season Ticket holders that they will be given priority on seating.
Bastion Stadium Solutions have been commissioned by the Stadium Management Board to market and sell approximately 1200 seats under their ‘ Premier Seat ‘ brand. These seats are in the West Stand only. Before these seats went on public sale (December the 1st) Season Ticket holders were given the opportunity to buy them if they so wished via the visitors centre. We understand that some season ticket holders received their letters rather late and we can only apologize for this but letters were sent out periodically to try and stop unnecessary delays with queuing. The visitor centre is open for Premier Seats only at present. Once the season ticket prices are available then the club will also staff the Visitors Centre and supporters will be able to come and choose their seats for next season. We envisage that this will happen in January/February next year. All current season ticket holders will be given priority to reserve their seat before opening it to the general public. Dates will be announced via the club site and local media.
The board would also like to take this opportunity to say that early indications are that match day prices will range from ยฃ13 and up to ยฃ18 dependent on which league we play in. Concessions for under 16’s and OAPs will be set at ยฃ10 for most areas of the stadium. For those wanting to sit in similar areas of the stadium as they do now may be interested to know the corresponding stands in the new stadium.”
The club have also confirmed that the East Stand will be the replacement of the North Bank whilst the family enclosure will be housed within the South Stand at the new stadium. Around 1200 premium seats in the West Stand are being sold by Premier Club and 400 of these have already been sold as shown by a full page advert in tonight’s Evening Post.
