Do We REALLY Want This?

Yeovil the runaway winners are hitting the rocky spots and all places are up for grabs, it really is a topsy turvey, quality, rubbish league whoever you want to believe.

But for me there’s only one question.

Do Swansea City Football Club WANT to go up this year?

Of course says the Chairman, don’t be so stupid says the Trust Board members, naturally says the Manager, we are desperate to get out of this league says the club captain and talisman striker.

Tell you what they are all liars. They don’t and here’s the reason……….. MONEY MONEY MONEY

Swansea City Football Club are now a handful of games away from waving goodbye to Football League history and about to embark on a new chapter in a modern purpose built stadium, so everything is set up for next year I hear you say. WRONG

Why go up this year. The club has no real indication of the levels of support it will attract next year. Any idea what the budget figures are for next year? They surely would have been set by now but how many can hand on heart accurately budget what the numbers through the White Rock turnstiles will be.

So why not hang around for a year gauge the true numbers at White Rock and gain promotion next year when the Club and local authorities can more accurately predict budgets for the next 3/4 years after that.

Look at the Eastern Bloc yes that’s right 20k a game at home, spend money in advance that you don’t have, in the hope that someday a Stadium will be built for you whilst a sugar daddy creams off the top layer……. been there done that.

I think this board don’t want PROMOTION THIS YEAR. Next Year is the year of the Swan

Why lay out so many 2 or 3 year contracts especially on those who will in all probability won’t be with the Swans long after the return to the higher plains to which we are destined.

The club is building for next year, they of course cannot say this as this would dampen spirits but there is no other logical explanation of the UNEXPECTED loss of form since we took the home record of Boston.

WE have a club, WE have a spanking new stadium, WE are not from the Eastern Bloc

We are Jacks

Prepare to party with a championship next year

Blessed be
