Maylett To Talk To Pilgrims |
Swans winger Brad Maylett could have played his last game at the Vetch after Boston were given permission to open talks with him about a move North. Maylett arrived at the Vetch during our successful fight against relegation and opened last season on a high with a hat-trick as Bury were beaten 4-2 at the Vetch. However, he has failed to live up to those heights and this season has spent much more time out of the side than in it. He tends to drift in and out of games and with Boston showing an interest, reports in Lincolnshire say that they have been given permission to talk to him and will open talks tomorrow with a view to making the move before the transfer deadline next week. At the start of this season, there were comments that we have yet to see the best of Brad Maylett but sadly as a club we do not have the time to wait for the odd good performance littered amongst the rubbish. It seems his time here is done and with one vacancy in the squad could this mean that Swansea move into the transfer market themselves in the course of the next week? The good news for the Swans is that the winger should command a fee having signed a new two year contract at the Vetch at the end of last season giving them some much needed funds as their promotion bid falters.
