Blast From The Past – John Roberts

One of my early favourite players, John Roberts was a tall, fair haired prolific striker from Abercynon who played for us in the mid to late sixties. Excellent header of a ball but also good with his feet. We sold him to Northampton much to my disgust and he then went on to play for Arsenal and Wales.
