Blast From The Past – Johnny King

Legendary goalkeeper of the 1950-60s.Born in Ferndale. The first game i ever saw at the Vetch i remember asking my dad who the fat goalie was, yet i soon came to regard him as probably my first Swans hero. He could throw the ball further than he could kick it. He played 363 games for the Swans, his only club, including one at centre forward. He finished his career in 1963 and emigrated to Australia where he died in 1982. Johnny King salute you.
