Karl signed in the summer of 2004 after being released by Walsall. A successful campaign in 2004-05 saw him score 13 league goals and finish as the top scorer.
This season has seen Hawley come into his own. A strong, agile forward with deceptive pace, he can hold the ball up and link play as well as find the net. With good positional sense and a sound reading of the game he has more than fulfilled his early promise.
He is currently the leading scorer in League Two with 20 goals and has already been voted the League Two Player of the Year.
