Macca, Robbo, Watt All On Way Out?

Swans winger Kevin McLeod is rumoured to have been told that he can leave the Liberty Stadium with several message board posts alluding to this fact. It is also widely rumoured that Steve Watt has been told the same thing although nothing official has come from the club as yet regards either player.

McLeod had a very public falling out with Kenny Jackett earlier this year over social activities but forced his way back into the side towards the end of last season amid praise for turning his problems around and moving on.

However, several posts today have suggested that turning it around was not enough and Macca has been told that he can leave the club with one post stating that he had been told as much by the player himself.

McLeod arrived at Swansea from QPR during our promotion season but never really lived up to his billing during a loan spell. However a permanent move and some scintillating performances including a hat trick in the demolition of Bristol City earned him a new contract just under twelve months ago. However, issues in his off the field activities caused him to be transfer listed before the transfer window closed earlier this year. He never moved and having fought his way back in and featured in the pre season games it would have been safe to assume that his future remained at the Liberty. It seems not.

Steve Watt was rumoured to be on his way to Swindon when the Swans were in for Dean Leacock but the collapse of the record transfer suggested that he would now stay. Swindon No 2 Gus Poyet was at Weston in midweek to watch the Swans win their friendly sparking rumours again that the deal may be revived. Watt was also said to be with Macca in the incident earlier this year having arrived from Chelsea in the January transfer window. His Swans career appears to look as if it will be very short lived and he has not played since suffering an injury at Nottingham Forest back in February.

And the final rumour states that Andy Robinson will be on his way following the club announcement tomorrow with Stoke City said to be leading the chase for the goal scoring midfielder. A deal worth somewhere around £400,000 is being banded about for the man who was plucked from non league football three years ago by Brian Flynn. Interest has come in from several championship clubs in the past few weeks whilst the Swans try to tie him to a new contract. It now appears that those efforts may prove fruitless with the club not willing to match the wage demands of Robbo.

Now if all these rumours were to come true then it should also be safe to suspect that there should be new deals on the way into the club with Andy Oakes and Willie Boland rumoured to be added to the squad list for next season and even the prospect that Dean Leacock may yet feature for the Swans in the next couple of weeks on a season long loan.

So with one week left to go it appears as if we may be about to witness the busiest week of the close season at the club transfer wise with the exit and entrance doors seeing potentially plenty of movement.
