MEET THE REF – Brentford

Graham Poll will be the referee for the midweek game against Brentford; he became a referee in 1991 and became a Premiership ref in 1993, he’s also been in charge of the FA Cup & League Cup Finals. He is most famous for showing three yellow cards to one Croatian player at the recent World Cup before eventually sending him off.

Poll has very good experience; he has also refereed games in the Premiership, the European Cup and the World and European Championships, he’ll be in charge of his first League One game of the season tomorrow. He averages just 3 yellow per game (not to one player!) so far this season and no red cards as yet.
