“Lee Trundle looked near his best,” Jackett said. “He could have had more goals and he looked very sharp. “The side is taking shape in being resilient and having ability. There is still room for improvement but we are showing some good signs. “At 3-0 they had nothing to lose and I didn’t think we deserved a clean sheet so I am delighted to have come through it.”

“We had the chances to get a draw out of that, unfortunately our strikers couldn’t show the ability of Trundle with their finishing. “I’m going to have to try and tighten things up at the back and see if we can start scoring from set plays. “I don’t think we could have prepared better and the players gave their best and I gave my best.”
