Bayo Wants To Extend Liberty Stay |
|
Why not visit our sponsors lounge Bayo broke his leg in the home defeat to Scunthorpe two weeks ago and that could be his last performance in a Swansea shirt and the firm believer in God says that if he is meant to stay then he will stay. Speaking to the Evening Post, the striker said "My contract is up in the summer and I don’t know what’s going to happen, "But my agent has called me and told me that the chairman (Huw Jenkins) has said he would like me to stay at the club. "You know this is the place where I want to be – I’m settled at Swansea and I feel at home here. So now I’ll just leave it up to them to sort things out. "Whenever people ask me about my contract, I say that if it’s meant to be for me to stay, I’ll stay. It’s a huge disappointment to be injured but I just have to get on with it and concentrate on coming back fit next year," "I hope that will be the case, but we’ll just have to wait and see what happens. "It’s not easy when you’re injured, but then again my record is pretty decent and I’m not going to be out forever. "I’ve been assured there were clubs interested in me before the injury, and I don’t see why that should change. "Without being funny, I think there is a club out there who would take me, but I really hope it doesn’t come to that. "Swansea know what I can do and I hope they see me as part of their future." |
