Swans Top Bad Boy League

Lee Trundle’s harsh red card on Saturday has seen the Swans move to the ‘top’ of Sporting Life’s bad boy league for League One.

Trundle was dismissed on Saturday for two yellow cards – one for scoring a goal and other other for trying to score a goal – in the 2-0 win at Tranmere. The red card was the Swans seventh of the season, a figure matched by only Brighton. Couple that with 67 bookings, a figure ‘bettered’ by only Huddersfield (68) and Millwall (76) and the Swans are classed as the bad boys of the division.

Aside from Trundle, Swansea’s other red cards have been

  • Alan Tate away at Scunthorpe

  • Leon Knight away at Leyton Orient

  • Leon Britton away at Northampton

  • Darren Pratley away at Brighton

  • Lee Trundle away at Huddersfield

  • Kristian O’Leary away at Bradford

Strangely, no Swansea player has seen red at the Liberty this season.
