Saturday’s referee is Rob Lewis from Shropshire, this is his first full season as a league referee, he will take charge of his second Swansea game this season – his last was in November – in the 4-2 home win against Bournemouth.

He was due to referee the Chesterfield home game but he was changed at the last moment; he averages 3.6 yellow cards per game and has only issued 3 reds this season.

He is most famous for being the linesman who didn’t see Pedro Mendes’s ‘goal’ for Spurs at Old Trafford a few seasons ago. Hopefully he has been to Specsavers since that incident.

Stats so far this season:

24 Games,

87 Yellows,

4 Reds.

Games refereed vs Swansea:

Vs Bournemouth (home) 06/07 Won 4-2
