Although there is nothing concrete to link the club and player, the paper are confident enough that they are one of the Championship clubs interested in signing the highly rated goalkeeper.
Talking to the paper, Roberto Martinez said ”I would be surprised if he is not being followed by Championship teams ”He is coming off the back of a fantastic season in Scotland, where he is rated very, very highly. ”People who follow Scottish football believe he is a player who will be a No. 1 at a top European club a few years down the line. ”I know he has a couple of clubs in Scotland who would like to sign him, but I believe he doesn’t want to stay in Scotland. After that, it’s a case of which challenge he wants to take.
