Midfielder Thomas Butler signed from Hartlepool in July for £50,000 by Kenny Jackett; he started his career at Sunderland and has Premiership experience with the Black Cats. Butler has also played 2 games for the Republic of Ireland in 2002. He was in and out of the team last season, but did impress in a few of the games he played – mostly in the away games and became a mini hero when he scored two goals in the away game with Sheffied United in the FA Cup. He will find it a little difficult to play games next season with the amount of midfielders in our squad. Butler is mainly right footed and has played on both flanks, he is a tricky player and he is a little pacy, it is unclear how much he will feature next season. What are your thoughts?
