Central defender Dennis Lawrence was signed by Kenny Jackett in August 2006 from League Two side Wrexham; he is 6 foot 7 inch and an ex Trinidad & Tobago International (66 Caps, 4 goals) and played at the 2006 World Cup in Germany. He was almost ever present last season and scored some important goals as well as defending well at the other end. He is good in the air and comfortable with the ball at his feet most of the time, but often gets criticised by some.
