Defender Kevin Austin was signed from Bristol Rovers in 2004 on a free transfer and he was immense at the back as the Swans won promotion from League Two. Austin was originally signed as a left back but he isn’t that quick at going forward and usually fills in at centre defence when needed.

Austin has struggled at times in League One with pacy strikers and often gets punished by referees for his ‘hands on’ approach. Kevin always gives it his all and very rarely lets the team down when he’s called upon; Austin obviously did enough last season to earn himself a one year deal, he will probably be a squad player but he’s a good back up player to have.
