Left back Marcos Painter was signed by Kenny Jackett in 2006, the 20 year old initially only signed on loan from Birmingham City until he decided to sign permanently; Marcos came through the Youth Academy at St Andrews and has also played in the Premiership with the Blues.

The Republic of Ireland U-21, who despite his height, is very good in the air and is a solid defender – very rarely let us down last season, his only weakness is that he doesn’t go forward that much and isn’t that quick but hopefully he will improve on this in the coming season.
