Way and OTJ Return

As the first team played at Cheltenham on Tuesday, Darren Way and Owain Tudur Jones were both preparing for a Cheltenham battle themselves albeit with a much different train of thought.

Both are ready to make long awaited returns from injury when the reserves take on their Cheltenham counterparts at Port Talbot on Wednesday with a 7pm kick off.

Neither have featured this year through long term injuries and both will be welcomed back with open arms as valued midfielders within the Swans squad.

"Darren and Owain are both down to play and it’s going to be a fantastic day," Roberto Martinez told the Evening Post. "They’ve worked really hard and they’re nearly there now and, if they can play 40 or 45 minutes tomorrow, that will be tremendous. "They’re two fantastic characters, both leader material, and to have them back involved will be a massive boost. "They will come back stronger mentally and more mature, but we cannot rush them. "It takes a while when you’ve been out for so long and we need to be sure that when they are back, they are back for the long term."

Let’s hope so.
