There was good and bad news on the injury front today with the news that Andy Robinson may be fit for the weekend trip to leaders Leyton Orient whilst Darryl Duffy will miss the next three games after suffering a recurrence of his injury.
Robinson has missed the Swans last three games having picked up an injury towards the end of the 2-1 win over Cheltenham on September 18. The initial diagnosis was a three game lay off which could well be the case with Robinson happy to be back amongst the action “It’s been just under 20 days, which for a hamstring is quite pleasing,” said Robinson.
“It’s frustrating missing games especially when they are soft tissue injuries. But the boys have done okay and it will be nice to get back after a good result on Tuesday night.”
Duffy made a quicker than expected return against Swindon on Tuesday night before being replaced at half time by Warren Feeney after aggravating the same injury. He will now not be back until potentially October 20 through the injury
“It’s not as bad as the setback he had at Leeds but straight away he had another tackle in the same area,” said manager Roberto Martinez.
And Martinez added: “The groin is still a bit weak, but I wouldn’t say it’s a big problem. We need to be careful rather than take any risks.”
