Swans Eye League Summit

A failure to win from the initial top 3 of Tranmeres, Orient and Carlisle gives the Swans the perfect chance to stake their intention on the League with a trip to teh summit. It will also cap a remarkable statement from the team who have reacted superbly to being booed off at the Liberty against Brighton just over two weeks ago. Since then it has been three straight wins – two of which were league wins – with just one goal conceded.

And with Bournemouth’s home league form being pretty dire at the moment you wouldn’t necessarily back against the Swans to stretch that run to four games with victory on Sunday afternoon.

The Swans will also be backed by a sizeable away following yet again this season as they kick off a run of form that seems to have some crucial – but at the same time very winnable – games over the next month.

Team news wise the Swans should be boosted with Darren Pratley available to play incredibly just five days after it was predicted he had broken his leg against Wycombe. If he proves to be fit then it’s difficult to see any reason why Roberto should change his starting line up giving us an eleven of

Doris

Rangel Monk Lawrence Painter

Anderson Pratley Bodde Butler

Scotland Feeney

If Pratley does fail to recover in time then I would guess it will be KOL coming into the centre of midfield to complete the XI.

Bournemouth striker Brett Pitman misses out after suffering a badly bruised foot in the win over Bristol Rovers. On-loan Garreth O’Connor has returned to Burnley but Neil Young, Ryan Garry, Russ Perrett and Warren Cummings could all return to action after injury.

So onto the dreaded prediction. Not yet have I managed to get one right this season and I don’t intend breaking that streak now – I believe it could become as lucky as Roberto’s tan shoes. 8-4 to the Swans.

Top of the League anyone?
