Roberto Martinez
“I would say it was a fair result. From our point of view, the two goals we conceded were very soft but overall, I don’t think we played as well as we can do.
“I don’t like to criticise referee’s about decisions because they happen and we have to get on with it.
“For me, it wasn’t a penalty but I believe they even themselves out over the course of a season.
“Millwall caused us problems and I think when we went ahead we took our foot off the pedal a little bit.
“But we showed some character and good personality to get back into the game and score a good goal at the end.”
Colin West
“When you consider the quality they have and the position they have got in the league, I thought to a man we were very good and it is a good result,” added West.
“For the most part of the game, we had them on the back foot.
“We had more than our fair share of chances and we probably could have won the game.
“The penalty was a tough one. Sometimes they don’t go your way when you are down at the bottom, but thankfully it went our way.”
And West on Jackett:
“He will have to have a look in the transfer market because we have got 11 players out injured at the moment.
“I’m not sure of the finances at the club or what Kenny will have to work with, but hopefully he can come in and strengthen the team.
“I worked with Kenny at Watford under Graham Taylor and I know what strengths and values he will bring to the club.
“I’m happy to stay at the club because I am really enjoying my time here.”
