The balls had barely come to rest from the FA Cup draw when Horsham boss John Maggs was setting his sights on a potential third round tie believing that they can upset the odds.
Horsham openly admitted on their website that they were looking for one of the Second Rounds “Big Three” which encompassed us, Forest and Leeds and Steve Hodge and Cyrille Regis duly delivered in the live draw.
Speaking after the sides were paired together, Hornets boss John Maggs said “It is an excellent draw. We could not ask for better. We just need to get our heads round it now and make sure we are organised for the game.
“The three sides you would want were Nottingham Forest, Leeds or Swansea, so that’s great. There could be a shock on the cards, I think it’s a winnable game.”
Maggs will no doubt be encouraged by the closeness of the Saturday scoreline which saw the Swans have to wait until the last ten minutes before Bauza scored the goal to see off Billericay, a side who sit below Horsham in the Ryman Premier League.
The exact date and time of the tie will be announced in the next 24 hours with ticket information available soon after – it is believed the Swans will receive a similar ticket allocation to that for the Billericay game.
