Swans defender Angel Rangel was delighted to get his first goal under his belt after his late strike took the Swans top of the league at the Liberty Stadium.
Rangel struck home a loose ball after a decent Swans build up just ten minutes from time to give them the victory they needed to surpass Leyton Orient at the top of the league.
It was Rangel’s first goal for the club since signing during the summer and he was mobbed by his team mates as he celebrated.
“To score my first goal for Swansea makes me very happy,” he said after the match.
“But the best thing about it was the fact that it left my team-mates very happy with me because it gave us the win and took us top.
“My principle job is to defend and I had a difficult night marking their best player (James Brown). It meant I didn’t get much chance to get forward, but I’m glad I did at the end.
“I scored five goals for Terrassa in Spain last season and I hope to score a few more for Swansea before the end of the campaign.”
