Liverpool Awaits

Paul Anderson may be undertaking a hugely successful to date loan spell with Swansea City but he openly admits that he yearns for the chance to play for Liverpool in the Premiership and in Europe.

Anderson has netted eight times in his short Liberty Stadium career having joined the club on a season long loan last summer from the five times European Champions. However, he has always made no secret of his desire to return to Anfield and resume his career there although he has also stated that he would be happy to remain at the Liberty Stadium should Liverpool decide that they do not require his services.

Speaking in today’s Wales on Sunday, Anderson spoke of his love of Liverpool stating “I want to be a first-team player with them, be in the Premier League and in Europe. It’s what any footballer dreams of.

“And I think I definitely made the right decision to come here and try to make that happen. From my first game to where I am now I’ve improved a hell of a lot as a footballer and a person.

“I definitely think I’m showing some consistency in my form.

“In the reserves with Liverpool we’d only play something like 15 games a season.

“But I’ve already played more than that here. I’ve got a taste of playing competitively, I’m enjoying it and want more of the same.

“I feel I’m playing well, I feel I’m dangerous when I’m on the ball and going forward, which is what the manager wants from me.

“But I feel there’s still more to come and I can do a lot better.”
