With an average away support of over 1100 and a home support in excess of 13000 it promises to go down totally as a record breaking season for the Swans both on and off the pitch and as the Chairman reflected on the promotion glory he was quick to dedicate the promotion to them whilst recognising the work his inspired choice of manager has done.
Jenkins was at Gillingham on Saturday to enjoy the Swans promotion success and knows his delight was shared by the 1500 at Prietfield together with near on 2000 back at the Liberty watching the game on big screens.
Speaking on the club's official web site, Jenkins said "Nobody deserves this promotion more than our fans
"They have had to endure a lot over the last 24 years.
"Yes we've enjoyed a few good moments, but most of it has been misery and heartache since we slipped out of the old First Division all those years ago.
"Yet most of the fans have stuck by us and thousands more have joined us since we moved to the Liberty Stadium. "Not only have we had fantastic support at home, but as far as I'm concerned we have the best away following in League One.
"Seeing the pride and joy on the faces of the fans at Gillingham was a very emotional moment,'' he added.
"And I know it was the same back at the Liberty Stadium for the fans watching the game live on the TV screens. "I really hope they enjoy the celebrations because they thoroughly deserve it."
