Leeds Fans – Football’s Duracell Bunny

I feel bad now.   Last night I e-mailed Phil an article purely because I knew it would get a reaction.  I just never envisaged the reaction it would get

Does anyone remember the Duracell advert where there were loads of wind up bunnies.  And they were all set off together and the one that lasted the longest was the one that had Duracell batteries in it?  The Duracell Bunny.  Well, that to me is Leeds fans.  You can just wind them up and set them off and they carry on for hours.

If I was perfectly honest at this moment in time, I don't really care whether Leeds get back any of their points – other than the fact they won't get more than 5 anyway – because we will still finish above them this season.  And deservedly so because whether they want to admit it or not, we have proven that we are the best side in this division this season.

Last night's article was designed to get a reaction.  When it went past 20 comments it earned a fiver donation to a local charity because that was the bet.  I didn't think it would get there, my mate did so we went for a fiver on who was right.   Last time I looked it was 45 comments (although one was from me) so I may even make that up to a tenner as a gesture of goodwill.

What it did prove though is that Leeds fans cannot spot a wind up no matter how hard they look.  I'm not the brightest spark in a box of fireworks but I can smell a wind up.  But then again we shouldn't be surprised – these are the guys that needed it pointing out to them that April 1st was April Fool's Day but even then because "it's got quotes like" it must be true.

To all Leeds fans visiting – thanks for taking the time to read, and sorry to get you so wound up that you all contributed so easily.  Good luck for your hearing and all that – maybe you have a case, maybe you don't but what you definitely don't have is the ability to see what is there in front of you.   Hell, that article was so bitter it just had to be a wind up.  Surely most could see that it was blatant fishing.  And boy, what a catch.

Enjoy the last few games of the season lads – hell, if things go your way we may even let you join us in the Championship next season.   Only if you play nicely mind.

I always liked the Duracell Bunny although the fact it was pink I thought was always a little suspect.  Give our regards to Papa Smurf.

And just to keep the blood pressure down, I've toned the article down a little – just for you guys……… here

Discuss this article in the Planet Swans forums – its more fun than leaving messages here guys ๐Ÿ˜‰
