Scotland was left out of the Soca Warriors squad to face England this weekend although Swans defender Dennis Lawrence did return to the fold after a twelve month international "retirement"
And whilst that has caused fans to scratch heads over the 29 goal strikers omission, Evans was happy that his man would have a much needed rest "Jason suffered a groin strain over Christmas and he felt symptoms of that right through until the end of the season," explained Swansea physio Richie Evans to the Evening Post.
"He was pretty happy with it and able to play, but he felt and we felt that a rest would be good for him this summer.
"The fact that he's not going to be involved with Trinidad & Tobago is great news for us.
"This is a time for him to relax, recuperate and build himself up for next season."
