The side relegated from the Premiership last season had seemed determined to land the dutch midfielder but having had bids of £500,000 and £750,000 turned down it now seems as if they have given up the chase.
The Swans have put a £2m price tag on the player who joined last season with part of the reason being a 50% sell on clause that is due to his former club.
And that price tag alone has been enough to force Derby to pursue another interest with their Chairman Adam Pearson saying "After failing to reach an agreement with Swansea City, we have decided to pursue other targets."
Bodde though has also been the subject of interest from Reading and Sunderland but it remains to be seen whether this reported interest is followed up with any concrete bids.
Bodde takes another step towards being a Swansea player still come August.
