The Swans Trust – Annual Elections

The Trust – formed in 2001 – holds an election every 12 months where candidates can stand and be voted for by the members to work on the Trust board.  The successful candidates are all elected for a period of two years and may stand for re-election at that time.

The Trust board themselves then provide the link between the membership and the football club, the stadium and other areas that affect the support both directly and indirectly.

Election to the Trust board is a voluntary decision although successful candidates are asked to attend monthly Trust Board meetings – usually the first Monday of each month – and assist where possible at Trust events which range from fans forums to bowling nights and other similar functions

The Trust board also vote between themselves as to which people take on roles such as Supporter Director at the football club – a role that can only be taken by an elected member of the board.

There is no payment for the role and for more details you can visit www.swanstrust.com which tells you more about the Trust and its aims or you can contact us at psumbler@swanstrust.com

Anyone wishing to stand for election to the Trust board should download a nomination form which needs to be seconded by six existing Trust members with the forms being available here (http://www.swanstrust.com/PageContent.aspx?id=359)
