Roberto has stated that the best move for the player is to stay at Swansea and it appears as if he is following that advice and will stay at Swansea next season
Although the player has not committed himself to the decision itself the paper reports "it is understood Bodde had already privately considered a change of heart over his transfer request and could be ready to commit to the club’s first crack at the Championship in 24 years.
Bodde, currently in his native Netherlands with his family, last night confirmed he is due to meet his agent in the next 24 hours to discuss his future plans.
And although he stayed tight-lipped on the topic when contacted by Wales on Sunday, it is thought the 26-year-old could yet be tempted into a U-turn over his intention to quit the Liberty."
And, as we suggested on here yesterday staying at Swansea would possibly be the best decision for him at this moment in time with clubs seemingly unlikely to match the Swans valuation on the player.
The press speculation and news of the bids for the players meant that a transfer request was put in although a factor has also been reported that Bodde's family are unable to settle in Swansea although the club have been stated to be doing as much as possible to make that transition easier for Bodde's partner and their children.
And now this week it is expected that the official transfer request will be withdrawn and the player can get on with his preparation for the Swans biggest season in almost 25 years.
Let's hope so anyway
