Amankwaah looks certain to end his unhappy spell at Swansea with a move up the M4 and Swindon say it is now just a case of the player finalising things with Swansea before completing the move.
Amankwaah joined the Swans in a £250,000 move from Yeovil two years ago but it has been a move that never worked for either side and Amankwaah was a spectator last season as his team mates walked away with the League One title.
But that seems set to end soon with Swindon ready to take the player on and their manager Maurice Malpas told the Evening Advertiser
"Everything is on track as far as we are concerned with Kevin. He just needs to tie things up with Swansea now.
"He goes away on holiday later this week and I would like to think we would get everything done before that. I want to get it done in the next couple of days so it can be announced.
"I am always reluctant to say a deal is done before it is signed because anything could happen.
"It would be a huge relief to get it finally sorted before he goes away."
And I am sure everyone involved would like to see the end to this particular chapter in Swansea's history
