That is the viewpoint of the Nottingham Evening Post who report today what was stated last weekend that the Swans loan offer would consist of a six figure sum of money from Swansea.
And Forest, who have previously been stated as making an offer of £750,000 for Anderson now appear to have given up any hope of securing him on a permanent deal and believe that their only chance is a loan deal as they compete in the main with Swansea for his signature.
There are reports of other clubs interest but it seems to be nothing more than media speculation at the moment with the main reports of the player coming from Nottingham and Swansea.
Anderson is due to meet with Liverpool Chief Executive Rick Parry today with the general belief being that he will be offered a new Anfield contract to stay with the five time European Champions but with the likely desire that he spends next season on loan at a Championship club to continue his development.
And that would seem to leave Swansea and Forest to battle out for his signature with both sides confident of landing their man.
