Jenkins Waits For Liverpool Winger Decision

The Swans are keen to bring both players back on loan to the Liberty Stadium after spells with the club last season but Chairman Huw Jenkins has admitted that Roberto could turn elsewhere if the two players do not come back in the near future with their decisions.

Anderson has recently secured himself a new deal at Anfield and is a target for both the Swans and Nottingham Forest whilst Brandy is someone that Roberto believes could thrive at Championship level after what could be described as an average loan spell last season that ended with him scoring the last goal of the Swans League One campaign.

"There's been talk about Febian Brandy and Paul Anderson coming on loan, but we've had no confirmation. It's out of our control," Jenkins told the Evening Post

"It's a predicament. One of the difficulties in bringing in loan players is that you've got no control over what they do.

"Although they're contracted to Manchester United and Liverpool they're pretty much free agents.

"Roberto has got other targets in mind and it may be he turns to them. With it getting close to the date that the first team come back for pre-season training, we want to get the squad finalised.

"Quite a few clubs were interested in buying Paul Anderson, but Paul's first choice was always to extend his contract at Liverpool

"He's succeeded in doing that. Paul got what he wanted, but that doesn't help us.

"Roberto's quite confident of finalising deals for the three or four players he wants, but it might be more

"He's got certain targets, but it might take until July to get them."
