Roberto was talking to the official site after the Swans slipped to a 2-0 defeat at Crystal Palace – their second defeat of the season.

As ever he was in the mood to look forward but also believed that there was much to be positive about despite the scoreline and he said "You don't like to lose games and the two goals conceded were sloppy for our standards

"Overall there were many positives but there were negatives aswell. The negative in the first-half was that we allowed the goal to really frustrate us and to stop us from doing what we're really good at.

"But all the things that aren't in your control on the day went against us; in the second-half when we had a bit of momentum and opened up Crystal Palace a little bit, (Julian) Speroni reacted with a fantastic world-class save (from Darren Pratley's effort) which was a key moment in the game.

"We're disappointed but we have six games now in a short period of time so we have to make sure we react quickly.

"We need to be ourselves and not let the negative incidents in the game to frustrate our play," he added.

"I felt that we let allowed what happened in the (Palace) game to affect us too much.

"We've never shown that before in terms of allowing that to affect our game but it's a great lesson, we'll take it in the right way and the boys have the right character and the right winning mentality to react quickly."
